Anderson Cooper says he's OK with his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt's, smut novel.
"I'm often surprised by my mom, but always supportive of anything she does," the host of CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" said through a spokeswoman, commenting on Andrea Peyser's column in yesterday's Post about the iconic socialite's book, "Obsession: An Erotic Tale," which comes out in June.
"She's totally unique and cool," Cooper said about his mom. "At 85, whatever she wants to write is fine by me."
Peyser described the novel written by Vanderbilt, who made headlines as a poor little rich girl and then as a famous denims designer, as "pure, elegant, unadulterated smut."
"Obsession" is the racy tale of a "frigid" woman who, after her husband's death, finds letters from his mistress that reveal he led a secret life.
