Anderson Cooper talks to students at Elon

Anderson Cooper ELON, N.C. -- A network news star was in the Triad Tuesday night.

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was at Elon University to speak to communications studies students. He talked about some of the biggest stories of the day, modern news coverage and the impact of new technologies on the industry.

Cooper says, especially in the last two elections, young people became more active and plugged into the world around them than ever before.

“I'm not one of these people who says, ‘These young people, they don't know what it was like,’” said Cooper. “I think this is a generation which is remarkably informed and remarkably engaged. And I think all of us can learn from that.”
