Kathy Griffin Closes 2008 with a Profane Bang on CNN Live

CNN picked a seemingly odd choice for a co-host on their New Year's countdown this year. Anchor Anderson Cooper shared the stage with comedian Kathy Griffin in New Orleans to end 2008 together.

Griffin, not exactly known for her etiquette and grace, didn't falter her reputation as an outspoken performer as she responded to hecklers amongst her and Cooper's perch while reporting on live TV.

"I don't come to your job and knock the d**** out of your mouth," she poignantly told the crowd.

The comment, picked up by the microphone Griffin was wearing and transmitted to the CNN audience, was stated in retaliation to some heckling she received after describing her latest gig. The CNN footage has already become a you tube sensation.
