Hey all...
I hope you had a spectacular New Year's Eve and Day. What did ya do? I pretty much did nothing - and it was great. I watched the ball drop and that was it - in bed by 12:15 a.m.. It's a treat whenever I get to stay up past 8 p.m. so I wanted to live life to the fullest and push the midnight mark...and I did (barely).
Of course the ball drop is a NYE tradition for millions of Americans (and people around the world for that matter). I watched Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper ring in the new year. I love Kathy and you never know what she is going to say on live TV and this past week was no exception. She's gotten a lot of flack for it (no such thing as bad publicity) so here's a brief clip of what she said to a drunk heckler LIVE on CNN:
(she says it towards the end of the short clip...inappropriate but funny).
Also, a poor reporter in Reno, NV had a really tough time handling all the NYE classless drunks but she did a nice job of playing it cool live on air:
Hopefully this year will be better than 2008. It was a very tough year for everyone and is now just a memory. We have no idea what will happen - it's an exciting feeling. Do you a New Year's Resolution? I'm trying to fore-go drinking soda and eating fried foods...so far so good!
May I suggest a resolution for you: PAY OFF YOUR CREDIT CARDS!!! Credit card companies are rumored to be raising their interest rates up to 25% this year. PLEASE PLEASE pay off your credit cards. It's easier said than done but in this economy, it's imperative it be done asap.
Happy 2009 and make it a great year!
And for good measure, here is CNN again, this time it's Sean Callebs in New Orleans who get heckled:

Well,Anderson is in Israel for the broadcast tonight, and for who knows how long, actually.
I hope and pray with all my heart and sould that he will be safe over there.
Every time I hear of him going to the Middle East,I cringe at the thought of him possibly being in harm's way.
I know that field work is Anderson at his best, but that DOES NOT stop me from worrying about him,
nor being SO scared for him.
Knowing Anderson he will continue to put himself in danger's way. Praying is all we can do. Praying for him and his whole crew, they are all in danger. I am glad the Israeli government doesn't let them get too close, otherwise we would see Anderson just a few feet from where the bombs are exploding.
Oh, if there were only more diversity in Frog stories, exploding frogs or otherwise...
