The Brown family from "Sister Wives" sat down wtih Anderson Cooper on his new talk show Thursday (Sept. 29) to talk about their lifestyle and the much-talked about FLDS, or the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Anderson also had on children who had escaped an FLDS family, which is a sect of the Mormon church that has recently been in the news for its leaders having wives as young as 14 years of age.

Madison, one of the Brown's daughters, tells the tale of a friend of hers who thought their family was FLDS.

"We weren't public yet and a friend wanted to come over to my house and I said, 'Well, you should know that my family's polygamous before you come over' and she said, 'Oh, like FLDS?' and she asked me if I had to marry my uncle and if my dad molested me. That's not us. That's sick and wrong to me," says Madison.

Fourth wife Robyn chimes in, "The situation that I chose and watched was [the Brown family] and how well they worked together. Kody was such a great dad to everybody and the sister wives worked so well together."

Later, Anderson shows some episodes of "Sister Wives" to the former FLDS kids, who have some interesting reactions. One of them thinks he doesn't sense the love between the wives on the show. They also aren't sure women could love each other unconditionally in polygamy. One girl, Jessica, relays that her moms never got along and it was always really tense.

Meanwhile, the "Sister Wives" kids were shocked at the story Anderson did on the FLDS families. But Mariah, Kody and Meri's daughter, does say she wants to be part of a plural marriage.

"I love looking at all my moms and seeing the relationship that they have with each other and how it's so sisterly and so loving. I love that. It's something I decided I want to do in my life," says Mariah.

Christine, the third wife in the Brown family, offered some advice to the FLDS kids.

"I'm so proud of you. I'm sorry for what you were raised in because it's not how polygamy is for us, for me at all. I can't imagine what you guys have seen, I'm so sorry," says Christine. "The world is so full of possibilities, it's limitless what you can have, it's limitless what you can do. Get an education, go to school, go to college, do whatever you want to do. You made the first good step and I'm proud of you."

"Sister Wives" airs Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
