We just got back from an 'Anderson' taping! He was Gorgeous! For once he didn't wear the same old jeans, he wore a nice pair of gray dressy pants and a light blue sweater like top that made him look young, active, accomplished, faaaa-bbbu-lous! And he still has a bit of his pepper colored hair, especially on the back of his head.
And to our surprise the taping this morning was about the show airing tomorrow: interviewing the stars of the new movie "50/50" with Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anjelica Huston, Anna Kendrick and screenwriter Will Reiser. It was phenomenal! Just to see Anderson interviweing them all, then moving around the audience asking their questions for the cast, and giggling all along was pure pleasure.
Unfortunately the space was fully controlled so there was no way to get close to Anderson to say hello, much less to try an informal chat with him. No authographs either... Not even a small kiss on either cheek... (sniff). Oh well, at least we saw him, we heard him and we enjoyed an hour and a half of what everybody else will be enjoing tomorrow; plus a few behind the scenes events that we would have never known about before today: make-up retouches, relocation of furniture, re-accommodation of guests, checking script, checking questions to follow, adjustments to the prompt, which I thought had the dialogue(s) word by word, but no, it has clues only of what the next topic is supposed to be about. i.e. "Anjelica Houston entrance. Ask how she got involved in film; Joseph Gordon-Levitt, how it felt to have hair completely shaved off;" etc. I hope you can watch 'Anderson' tomorrow so you won't miss the fun.

Wednesday, September 28, 2011
Anderson is joined by Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anjelica Huston, who discuss their upcoming film, “50/50,” a comedy based on the true story of a 27-year-old man’s cancer diagnosis and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease. “50/50” screenwriter Will Reiser also joins the cast to discuss the power of healing with humor.
