Anderson Cooper profiles Eminem for ‘60 Minutes’
Adam Graham / Detroit News Pop Music Reporter

Eminem is set to be featured on Sunday’s “60 Minutes.”
The “Recovery” rapper is profiled by Anderson Cooper for the piece, which will examine Em’s return from the traps of drug addiction back to the top of the charts.
Cooper interviewed Eminem at the end of July at a handful of locations around Detroit, including the home he lived in as a teenager, the Burger King where he used to write rhymes and the restaurant, Gilbert’s Lodge, where he worked in the kitchen before making it big. They also spent time at Eminem’s recording studio.
Cooper also interviewed Eminem during sound check at the first of his Comerica Park concerts with Jay-Z. The bulk of the interview was conducted last month in New York, following Em and Jay-Z’s two concerts at Yankee Stadium.
“Recovery,” which was released in June, is No. 5 on this week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart and has sold more than 2 million copies since its release. The music video for the album’s third single, the Lil Wayne-featuring “No Love,” debuted last week.
“60 Minutes” airs at 7 p.m. Sunday on CBS, though its start time is often delayed by the network’s NFL coverage.
