Katrina + 5: Anderson Cooper and the Slow Recovery from Katrina (video)

CNN’s Anderson Cooper is one of the journalists that most Americans associate with reporting on New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina when the city needed a voice and an advocate in those dark days following the storm. His career was changed by Katrina, elevating him from reporter to anchor as a result of his excellent coverage of the Gulf Region. And now Anderson returns to New Orleans, as he has many times in the past five years, to remind us of what was, what was lost and how much has been done (or not done) in those five years.
This is a very moving video, showcasing actual resident’s views of the destruction and rebuilding, using images from then and now.
