Cheech Marin Crushes Anderson Cooper On 'Celebrity Jeopardy'

In an episode of Celebrity Jeopardy fit for Saturday Night Live, comedian Cheech Marin annhilated CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and Aisha Tyler in a Final Jeopardy round that left both of his opponents completely broke.


Anderson, who has won Celebrity Jeopardy in the past, says he got over-confident squaring off against Cheech Marin and ended up underestimating his ability with the buzzer and his knowledge on the board. While Anderson and Aisha ended the game with $0, Cheech won the game with $10,200. The most humiliating moment came when all three contestants failed to correctly name Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum and Anderson's tablet simply read: "who."

To show he was a good sport, Anderson invited Cheech to appear on his show Thursday night, where he admitted he was "even more confident when I heard I was up against Cheech Marin. I admit I thought his reflexes would be slow, not to mention his synapses perhaps, but I was so very very wrong."

Anderson said people have been "mocking me mercilessly" since the loss, but at least it's not as bad as Wolf Blitzer's jaw-dropping Jeopardy breakdown last fall. Wolf ended the game at negative-$4,600 after being completely dominated by another comedian, Andy Richter. (Watch that hilarious video here.) [see below]
