5 people we'd love to spend the holidays with.

You can't pick your family. At no time of the year are we more reminded of this fact than during the holidays. But what if we could? What if we could hand select our Christmas invitees? Thanks to the magic powers of this website, we can!

Here's who we'd like to share our Golden Goose with.

It's always good to be reminded of the miracles of daily existence around the holidays. Like, say, that whole birthing in a manger thing, or surviving flying shrapnel in Belgrade. Who better to bring a sense of gravitas to the occasion than the Silver Fox himself, Anderson Cooper.

Since our chances of gettin' some mad action under the mistletoe with the Silver Fox are slim at best, we'd like to have a hot holiday alternative: Taylor Kitsch. Nothing balances the nice like a good dose of Christmas naughty. We're certain this high school football star would know just how to navigate his way around our childhood bedroom.

Once we've finished with all that, we'd like to be serenaded in song by our favorite Backwoods Barbie, Dolly Parton. Miss Dolly could liven up any occasion with her voice, her charm, her warmth, and her stunningly bedazzled outfits. Talk about merry and bright!

We're certain the present opening portion of the day would go much better with Oprah there. We'd happily take any, or all, of her Favorite Things.

Christmas would be much improved with one of our favorite things: Alec Baldwin. With a nice glass of scotch, a stogie, and some roasted chestnuts, we're sure Alec would keep us laughing and keep mom in her place.
