Citizen Beanstockd (12.11.08): Oprah Still Loves To Eat & Anderson Cooper Still Loves Creatures

Yesterday was an unseasonably warm Wednesday in New York. Global warming? As a card carrying member of the Consolidated Eco-Bloggers Union #387 (Greater New York City and North Jersey), I can answer that with utmost certainty. Yes.
Okay, now go back and read that again, but this time say it out loud like you’re Chuck Bass. Go ahead, I’ll be over here listening to J5...
…It’s fun right?
In light of the Rod Blagojevich scandal, the happiest person in the world has to be Eliot Spitzer. Eliot the John had an uncanny fondness for shabby harlots, but that’s like selling weed out of your locker. Rod the Coif, however, tried to auction off an Illinois Senate seat—that’s like selling crystal meth out of your basement k-sleazy lab.
All this talk of disgraced governors and the dark underbelly of Chicago…can you believe Sarah Palin dissed Oprah like that? Remember Palin’s post-election media tour? It recently came to light that Oprah wanted to have Levi Johnston’s mother-in-law on the show, but got the cold shoulder. Semi-relevant aside: Oprah’s husky again.
Anderson Cooper’s newest installment of Planet in Peril debuts tonight on CNN. If you’re envisioning us in front of a tv on a big sofa with an enormous bowl of Orville Redenbacher, you’d be right. And when the show ends we’ll repurpose all the leftovers by stringing them together into popcorn garland. If we have time, we’ll wrap presents with unpaid bills and junk mail.
T.R. Knight is Leaving Grey’s Anatomy (just like all the viewers)

Once a must-watch show, Grey’s Anatomy has fallen from grace. What with Katherine Heigl pulling out of the Emmy race and Brooke Smith being let go a few weeks ago, it seems that all of Grey’s drama is happening off-camera. The latest news is that T.R. Knight has asked to be released from his Grey’s Anatomy contract. Could Knight & Heigl be plotting an escape from Seattle Grace? With your T.R. leaving, the best prescription might be a little R&R away from the tube to an eco-friendly vacation spot. The private coral island in Zanzibar seems to meet our green standards. But, if that’s outside the budget this year, re-watching the Grey glory days on Netflix could work just as well.
