City Manager Greg Kisela stood next to his colleague Steven Schmidt, director of City of Destin Public services, sweating in the heaping sun waiting on Norriego Point for the CNN crew
Finally arriving in a large SUV, a crew corresponding for Anderson Cooper 360 was ready to hit the beach and find out more about the booming business.

Randi Kaye, the correspondent for CNN began to ask Kisela what he thought of the BP response thus far while CNN photojournalist Ken Tillis captured long shots of the gleaming water lined with bright yellow booms.
“BP has a different level of concern,” Kisela told CNN. “They are worried about the big globs of heavy oil, and we as a city want to avoid all that and are concerned with the mere sightings of tar balls.”
When Kaye asked Kisela what his plan is if BP doesn’t respond up to par, he told CNN “We have contractors and lots of volunteers. We will be ready”
Kisela told CNN that he thinks BP has taken a “good initiative,” but the city of Destin is not taking any chances. It has 11,000 feet of booms already out and another 26,000 feet for the bay.
He plans on keeping all seven miles of the pristine beaches as oil free as possible.
The whole interview with Kisela is set to air on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight on CNN at 9 p.m. Central Time.
