Hey BP: Anderson Cooper is trying to get you on CNN

CNN's Anderson Cooper has been covering the massive, ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico for weeks now and wants to make sure he's being as fair as possible in his reports. That means getting a response from BP, the company that owned the Deepwater Horizon rig that exploded in late April, killing 11 workers, sending millions of gallons spewing into the waters off the shore of Louisiana. But the company, including its chief executive, Tony Hayward, are routinely avoiding Cooper's show. He's not the only one in the press complaining that BP is ducking away from the press. But Cooper drove the point home last night in his show.
He played video illustrating that on more than a dozen nights (we lost count) he was left explaining to his viewers that BP had declined his requests for comment or had outright ignored them. "It's easy for me to kind of smile about this and almost kind of make a joke about it, but it's not a joking matter," Cooper said, adding that BP must become more transparent to the public.
