BP has failed transparency test Anderson Cooper

06/15/2010 // New York, US // TiffNews10 // News DeskNew York – CNN anchor Anderson Cooper had harsh words for BP during his nightly program. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Cooper stated on his show Tuesday that BP had yet to make representatives for the company available for discussing the Gulf oil spill on his program. Cooper also suggested the previous night that BP has failed to show transparency and subject its officials to tough questions.
Cooper is quoted by the AP as stating on air, “I don’t yell at people… I’m not trying to embarrass anybody. I think they just need to be held accountable for the public statements. I think they’ll get a lot tougher questions Thursday on Capitol Hill than they would on my program, but it’s their right to pick and choose.”
As noted in the report, BP’s Chief Operating Officer, Doug Suttles, granted an interview to another CNN John Roberts last week.
