Anderson Cooper
Although the Yale University graduate majored in Political Science and International Relations, he wanted to pursue a career in journalism, especially in the aftermath of his brother's suicide summer 1988. Cooper is well-known as the anchor of his show on CNN, Anderson Cooper 360, which is based in New York, yet Cooper also reports on location. Cooper celebrates his 43rd birthday today.
Jamie O'Neal
Performing with her parents and her sister growing up in America, O'Neal was born in Australia and moved back there after dropping out of high school. She landed a recording contract in 1998 with Mercury Nashville's Keith Stegall. the country artist turns 42 years old today.
Ian Hunter
The singer/songwriter is best known as the lead singer of Mott the Hoople; his creative, intelligent work in the early '70s set the bar high for future punk rockers. After leaving the band with former Bowie guitarist Mike Ronson, they went on tour and released a solo album in 1975. Ronson and Hunter separated and then reunited in the late '80s and early '90s. The punk rocker turns 71 years old.
Deniece Williams
The gospel singer, initially hired by Wonder as mom with two young children, released several hit albums and songs throughout the '70s and '80s, such as the album Song Bird and the hit songs "Silly" and "They Say." The lovely singer turns 60 years old today.
Toni Curtis
When he was younger, the longtime actor was dark and handsome, which, no doubt, helped on Kansas Raiders in the '50s. While Curtis had massive talent, he was criticized for his performances as well, especially in the Beachhead, Johnny Dark and some others. He went on to make other films with famous actors like Dean Martin and Jack Lemmon. He is also the father of actress Jamie Lee Curtis. The famous Hollywood actor turns 85 years old today.
Suzi Quatro
The British '70s pop star, although petite, sings and plays the bass while pulling off leather attire during her concerts. She was a part of the band, The Pleasure Seekers, which became known as Cradle. Her American break came when she played a small role on the popular TV sitcom, Happy Days. Quatro turns 60 years old today.
