President Clinton, Sharon Stone Among Honorees Of The Elton John AIDS Foundation Annual Benefit

New York, NY (CNS) - The Elton John AIDS Foundation will holds its annual benefit An Enduring Vision on Monday, November 16th. CNN's Anderson Cooper will emcee the event which will award four honorees, including former President Bill Clinton.
The event, which will take place at Cipriani Wall Street, will honor President Clinton for his global leadership on the issue of HIV/AIDS, including partnering with the Clinton Foundation's HIV/AIDS Initiative. Actress Sharon Stone is an honoree as well, for her activism in HIV/AIDS and her work with amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.
Also being honored are philanthropists Evelyn and Leonard Lauder, and Lily Safra. The Lauders are generous supporters of the Elton John AIDS Foundation's cause, while Evelyn Lauder is also the founder of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Safra has offered support with the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Latin America initiative, as well as her own effors with the Edmon J. Safra Philanthropic Foundation.
CNN host and best-selling author Anderson Cooper returns to host the eighth annual benefit. Donna Summer will be the evening's musical guest. "Donna has been a tremendous supporter of the Elton John AIDS Foundation for many years, and I am so excited that she has agreed to perform for our An Enduring Vision event," Elton John said.
John began the Elton John AIDS Foundation in 1992 in the US and 1993 in the UK. He has helped raise over $150 million to support HIV/AIDS prevention.
