On the heels of President Barack Obama's visit today to New Orleans, U.S. Rep. Ahn "Joseph" Cao, R-New Orleans, is slated to be interviewed Thursday night on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, his office announced.
The one-hour news program airs at 9 p.m. local time.
Cao joined U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Thursday morning for a tour of the U.S. Coast Guard's Vessel Traffic Center on the Mississippi River, then attended Obama's town hall meeting at the University of New Orleans.
Cao was elected last year to the seat representing most of New Orleans, a swath of West Jefferson and a portion of Kenner.
He wrested the seat in the heavily Democratic district from William Jefferson, who had held it for two decades before being indicted and later convicted by a Virginia jury of corruption in connection with African business deals.
