

CNN’s Anderson Cooper Explains Via Twitter Why Japan Report Ended Early

CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who is well known for his on the ground crisis reports from around the world, was planning a live two hour program from Japan this evening. However, the 360 anchor, who keeps his Twitter followers updated before, during and after his broadcasts, tweeted this alarming message around 11:00 p.m. EST:
- “Due to safety concerns we are leaving this area an therefore not live for the second hour.”
Earlier today, Cooper kept his Twitter followers updated on the horrifying aftermath of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami with Tweets like this one: “Spent day talking with survivors. Many are waiting for word on loved ones. So much sadness.”

He also shared this remarkable photo of a truck carrying cars, which was wrapped around a poll in Sendai, Japan.
