Anderson Cooper’s fans are going to see him earlier in the evening the next few weeks.
A special edition of “Anderson Cooper 360″ has moved into the 9 p.m. slot, replacing “Larry King Live” reruns.
Cooper will stay in the 9 p.m. slot until Piers Morgan’s show starts Jan. 17 on CNN.
“Anderson Cooper 360″ will continue to air a new show at 10 p.m., CNN said.
A rerun of “Parker Spitzer” will air at 11 p.m. for the next two weeks.
Cooper’s last high-profile job was hosting New Year’s Eve on CNN.
Ratings for that event were out today. In the world of cable news, Fox News Channel averaged 1.64 million viewers from 11 p.m. to midnight on Friday. CNN pulled in 1.53 million viewers in the same time slot.
But from midnight to 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day, CNN pulled ahead with 1.8 million viewers. Fox News Channel drew 1.42 in the same hour.
