Only because Madonna went to her former apartment in New York doesn't mean anybody else can't go to his/hers. Juan Martinez, a former MTV producer and current Orange County resident is full of himself (shit).
Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper’s interview accused of plagiarism

An Orange County resident who produced a widely popular Madonna television special is accusing Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper of copying his work.
In 1998, pop queen Madonna and her gay best friend, Rupert Everett, did a special called Madonna Rising in which Madonna went to go visit her old roots in New York City. This included going to her old apartment and visiting other places where she used to hang out.
In 2011, pop queen Lady Gaga and her gay best friend, Anderson Cooper, do a CBS special in which Lady Gaga goes to visit her old roots in New York City. This includes going to her old apartment and visiting other places where she used to hang out.
Juan Martinez, a former MTV producer and current Orange County resident, noticed the similarities in all the clips. “I am going to look into this with my lawyer after I see the full television special. But given that Lady Gaga plagiarizes her outfits, songs, and her whole personality, I wouldn’t be surprised.”
Mr. Martinez, a Puerto Rican native, has fond memories of filming Madonna’s special. “I wasn’t a big fan. When I told her that, she laughed and said she isn’t always a big fan of herself either. She invited me over to her apartment for dinner after filming."
