Katie Couric, Christiane Amanpour join Anderson Cooper as Egypt attack victims
February 2nd, 2011 -- 3:41 pm ET
The situation going on right now in Cairo, Egypt is not getting any easier -- in particular for the brave people down in the country attempting to provide the world with proper news coverage of the proceedings.
We have already heard a great deal today about Anderson Cooper getting punched and attacked by Mubarak supporters in the city early Wednesday -- now, we are hearing that ABC's Christiane Amanpour was also attacked by mobs in the city.
Here is what she had to say in a report per TMZ on the matter:
"An angry mob surrounded us and chased us into the car shouting that they hate America. They kicked in the car doors and broke our windshield as we drove away."
Meanwhile, the website also claims that CBS anchor Katie Couric was "roughed up" in the city as well by some of the heated supporters in the city, which has become rather similar to a war zone this week.
Granted, it is the job of reporters to get an inside view of the news -- but at one point is it too much?
