We thank Heidi for her contributions to the network and wish her the best."
Abbi Tatton, the internet reporter on the Situation Room has left CNN to persue other opportunities. The british journalist joined CNN in 2000 as a producer in Washington DC. Again speaking to TVNewser, a network spokesperson said; "Abbi is a Situation Room original and has been a wonderful colleague at CNN — both on and off the air — for nearly a decade. We're sorry Abbi has decided to leave the network but we're thrilled she has other opportunities. We truly wish her all the best."
Erica Hill is also leaving CNN and heading to CBS News. She was a correspondent and stand-in anchor on Anderson Cooper's 360 programme. Cooper said on air; "While I'm happy for her and her entire family, it is with a very heavy heart I say good-bye.
