Jan 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) CNN journalist Anderson Cooper has himself been hitting headlines as the correspondent saved the life of a Haitian boy during an extremely violent looting scenario in the city of Port-au-Prince, which has been severely effected by the massive earthquake that rocked the island nation earlier this month. The incident has been grabbing immense attention as it has been caught on camera and at the same time highlights the desperate circumstances in the disaster hit Caribbean island.
The incident took place as Anderson Cooper along with other CNN crews, was covering the looting that was taking place in a store when a young local boy was hit hard with a concrete piece. The footage shows the CNN newsmen rescuing the boy from the chaotic situation as the boy received serious injuries when he was caught in the violent situation. This prompted the much acclaimed journalist to abandon his reporting duties for the moment and he went right ahead to help the young boy who was bleeding profusely from a head injury.
While recounting the violent incident in his blog, Anderson Cooper stated that the incident took place as young men attempted to grab stolen items from the store. The situation soon went out of control as people were injuring one another to grab the items which later resulted in the boy getting injured. The journalist escorted the boy to a safe location and handed him over to a local person. However, the CNN correspondent also revealed that he had no clue about the present whereabouts of the boy although he hoped that the boy was doing well.

lol. hey peter. I'm only laughing because while loading your blog to see it I had my speakers on and there was a strange noise coming from my comuter it scared the hell out of me once your page loaded completly it stoppped. It sounded like spaceavaders guns going off.lol.Hope your having a great day. did you here that Anderson is staying another week in haiti? I wonder when he's going to come home? I hope he stays safe? I don't know I'm in a good mood tonight. I'm not negative or depressed all the time but I'm just extra happy tonight. Maybe something good is going to happen to me tomorrow. I'm glad that people are talking about what Anderson did and is doing in Haiti. He's a great man. I bet when he gets back to the states and goes on R&K Kelly will have something to say about it too. well i got to go, it's getting late here. it's past midnight. got to go to bed so I can wake up and be a good girl and go to church in the morning.- Purplegummiebear
Maureen,
Are you back from church? You good girl.
I'm worried about Anderson too, every time they say "aftershock" I think Anderson, where are you? One more week in Haiti means more aftershocks, Oh God I feel for Anderson's mom.
Sorry about the swoosh noise, I already disconnected, but make sure you go to the link I posted it is an interesting thing CNN did at Port-au-Prince.
lol. I'm back. sorry about the long post last night, and I'm glad you fixed the problem with the noise. It wasn't that bad lastnight but I had my speakers on all the way because I was trying to listen to something before going on your site that didn't have good sound. Then I forgot I had them on. If your wondering I've been going to church since I was a sophmore in high school. They know me there it's like a big family. Sometimes I don't go because I don't feel like it but then get told next time I go. But I love it. I didn't really have a good family life but I got it at church.o.k. enough preaching to you.lol. I can't beieve Anderson is staying another week. I pray for him daily. It scares me that he's over there with earthquakes/aftershocks going on still. It makes me think about Anderson's spirit/soul. How much that is in him, it's not like they told him he had to stay he wanted to stay he wanted to be there to the end. I think he wont leave until he absolutly has to leave. He has this passion inside him that just wont die. He wants to be the voice to people that don't have a voice, he wants to be a voice that screams louder then the people that try to crush it. And in that I am falling inlove with him for. Something in him wants and does what is right even when people think it's weird, he thinks they are weird for thinking it's weird. He is what humanity needs more of, Men that know without a shadow of a doubt what is right in a split second do what is right. I can't get those images out of my mind what he did for that little boy and people are saying horriable things about Anderson's efforts for the boy.All I have to say is they will be sorry for the words they are saying. Everyone is accountable for what they say and do. Anderson did the right thing and will get what he deserves and the people that said tose horrible things about Anderson will get what they deserve. Sorry for my "Don't dis my Anderson Cooper unless you want me to wip out a can of my woop ass!" But I just had to get it out.
