Anderson Cooper Saves Haitian Child, Actually Manages To Become Even More Impressive

Amy Rose Spiegel :: Wednesday, January 20th, 2010 -- 1:10 pm

Anderson Cooper has always been dashing – how could the American public not idolize a refined, silver-haired hottie, attractive to both men and women, who is always calm and intelligent in temperament and delivery? I’m fanning myself just thinking about it. So, yesterday, when he extricated a badly-injured Haitian child from a violent conflict stemming from a looting, he managed to impress his viewers even further. Somehow, it was all caught on video by CNN.

Does this man have any negative qualities at all? Apparently not. Here’s to you, Anderson Cooper, you heroic fox. We at D+T salute you!

[...] there anything Anderson Cooper CAN’T DO? The CNN anchor saved a young boy from a looting attack while reporting on the shattering after effects the earthquake has had on Haiti. I adore this [...]

He has never been impressive so how does he become more impressive?

I wish everyone’s heroic deeds could be filmed.
What happened to reporting the story and not becoming the story. That has always been his motto.
I have been a huge AC fan, but this whole reporting thing and how CNN is handling it has bothered me. IMO

Uh, I’m usually impressed when someone puts themselves in jeopardy to come to the aid of a badly injured child. What WOULD be impressive to you? Maybe if he had dragged eight children out of a violent fray at once, possibly with an elderly person over his shoulder?
And I think broadcasting mottos aren’t the first thing he was thinking about when he saw a kid get hit in the head with a rock, which is partly why this is so amazing.

If Anderson had’ve stood around filming the kid as he was bleeding profusely, some people would’ve had a problem with that too, but Anderson did the right thing in getting the kid away from the people who were throwing concrete and I admire him even more than before.

I have always admired Anderson for the smart, handsome and talented reporter that he is, and for his endurance in circumstances where rockets are flying by inches from his head; but now, he has raised the bar way high for all other reporters and for that, he deserves all the accolades we can give him. In my book, he is a truly HERO!

Sorry about the same video; it's the only one that exists of this event and everybody is posting it. I wish there had been more photographers to take many, many pictures of him.
