Two days after Scott Van Duzer - the 6 feet 3 inch tall, muscular owner of Fort Pierce, Florida’s Big Apple Pizza – powerlifted President Barack Obama in a spontaneous bear hug, he appeared with Anderson Cooper on Tuesday to tape a segment of the “Anderson Live” television program.
Though Van Duzer says the Obama bear hug was not planned, it was for Anderson Cooper. Much as Van Duzer did to Obama, the pizza entrepreneur grabbed a hesitant Cooper and lifted him a bit higher off the ground than he lifted the president.
Van Duzer said of the Obama encounter:
“[Obama] came to my front door and busted it open like Chuck Norris, and he goes, “Where’s Scott?”
It was then that Obama complimented Van Duzer’s muscular arms, and Van Duzer admits he got carried away with the moment and excitedly picked Obama up with his feet dangling above the floor.
The pizza restaurant owner says that Anderson Cooper is his favorite journalist.
