Gay Instead Of Transgender?

Anderson Cooper: What If It Had Been a Gay Person?

I’m wondering, in light of the segment on Anderson Cooper’s show about a trans person who claimed that a hair-loss treatment made her “transgender”: if a gay person (a non-celebrity) stepped forward to that show or to any other talk shows, for that matter, and claimed that a hair-loss treatment made him “gay,” would it be worthy of consideration for a segment on their shows? Or would the idea be dismissed outright?
