CNN anchor and talk show host Anderson Cooper will be performing at the Durham Performing Arts Center on Sept. 21, the DPAC announced Wednesday.
The show, dubbed "Anderson Cooper's 360 World View," is based on his CNN show "Anderson Cooper 360." Similar to his CNN show, Cooper will be going behind the headlines to tell in-depth stories of the day.
The 45-minute lecture will be followed by a 45-minute Q&A session, where members of the audience will be able to ask Cooper questions about his career and travels.
"Fans love special events like this at DPAC as past speakers like David Sedaris, Garrison Keillor, Bill O'Reilly, Ira Glass and Anthony Bourdain have been some of our most talked about presentations since opening. To have an international news figure on our stage brings a whole new dimension to the theater," DPAC general manager Bob Klaus said in a press release.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. through the DPAC and Ticketmaster.
In addition to Cooper's show, the DPAC also announced these shows on Wednesday:
- • Australian Pink Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band, on Oct. 14 • Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis on Nov. 30
