Anderson Cooper is giving the pageant moms from the controversial reality show “Toddlers & Tiaras” a taste of their own medicine.
On a new episode of his show “Anderson,” airing Friday, the silver-haired host interviews four of the mothers from the TLC hit, then transforms them into grownup beauty queens.
The women all undergo extreme makeovers that mimic the grueling routines their daughters are subject to before competitions — heavy makeup, skimpy costumes and platinum-blonde wigs.
The result is as shocking as it is hilarious.
As the mothers appear in adult-sized replicas of their daughter’s most well-known costumes, Cooper asks them what they think of the transformation.
“I feel a little revealed right now,” admits one of the women, Alicia, who’s wearing a Gaga-inspired blue leotard.
While Alica was visibly uncomfortable in the getup, she insisted that it’s a different experience for her daughter, Laci.
“I mean, she doesn’t have anything,” she said. “It’s not showing anything. It’s a swimsuit for her.”
Cooper even tried the infamous “GoGo Juice,” a sugary mix of Red Bull and Mountain Dew that “Toddlers” mom June makes her daughter, Alana, drink for an energy boost before shows.
June, who has been criticized for giving Alana the caffeinated concoction, defended her parenting to Cooper.
“I don’t give her GoGo Juice every day of the week,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “Sometimes I don’t give it to her at pageants at all. We may use another remedy that day, which may be Pixie Sticks or candy or just a regular caffeinated drink.”
Kayla and her daughter, EverRose, and Wendy and her daughter, Paisley, both from “Toddlers & Tiaras,” will also appear on Friday’s episode.
