PHOTOS: Why Was Anderson Cooper Front Row At DVF?

Everyone knows that, no matter what they say, it’s every designer’s goal to fill the front row of their show with as many bold-faced names as possible. It may be the only place in the industry where bigger (in name, at least) really is better. But while we’re used to seeing the usual suspects — starlets, editors, fashionable heavyweights (think Victoria Beckham and Julianne Moore), and industry darlings like Tavi Gevinson — the glimpse of a silvery head in the front row of today’s Diane von Furstenberg show made us do a double take.
Seated next to Bravo’s Andy Cohen, two down from Sarah Jessica Parker, and three down from media mogul (and hubby to von Furstenberg) Barry Diller, was CNN’s own silver fox, Anderson Cooper.
Now, we love Coop as much as our friends over at Mediaite, but we’re not exactly sure how a heavy-hitting news anchor found himself at the front row of a ready-to-wear show featuring gladiator heels, hooded tunics, bold prints, and fanny packs.
Take a look at the photos below and tell us what you think. And while you’re at it, let us know what you think Andy and Anderson are whispering about. We’re dying to know!
