Jackson family gathering at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills

According to CNN Larry King Live, the Jackson family is planning a gathering at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Hollywood Hills at 8 am Pacific time on July 7, 2009. The Jackson's are planning to gather at the cemetery, but are not calling it a funeral, so it is not known what their plans are for a funeral or burial.

CNN Anderson Cooper reported that there has been late night activity at Forest Lawn. Jackson's sister LaToya Jackson was seen at Forest Lawn, and a hearse was seen on the premises. Cooper said the information is sketchy, but there is some type of activity . It is possible that the Jackson family is holding a private late night viewing. On Monday evening the media had already started to gather at Forest Lawn.

Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills is the final resting place of several prominent celebrities, including Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Sandra Dee, Buster Keaton, Dorothy Lamour, Charles Laughton, Stan Laurel, Liberace, Ricky Nelson, John Ritter, Telly Savalas, Forrest Tucker and Ed McMahon (according to Hollywood Celebrity Graves).

Forest Lawn was founded over a century ago and has been an important part of Southern California. According to the Forest Lawn website, they are committed to providing a beautiful environment for family outings, remembering loved ones and commemorating holidays.

It is not known for certain what the arrangements are for the internment of Michael Jackson. Micheal's brother, Jermaine Jackson had stated that he thought Michael should be buried at Neverland, but there are legal restrictions against a burial on private property, according to CNN.
