Local Couponer On 'Anderson'
This article was posted today on the 3WHSV, The Valley's Fox TV, Harrisonburg, Va. It attracted my attention because it mentions the taping of an 'Anderson' episode today! Soooo, I suppose Anderson is back from wherever he's been all week, on vacation I hope. But, it's a few minutes after 8 PM and Anderson is not on AC 360°... Hmmm... He just couldn't stay on vacation for the full week, he had to come to work at least on 'Anderson,' I hope Benjamin is not too upset and I suppose we'll be seeing Anderson on AC 360° on Monday. This Anderson diet has been the hardest I've gone through ever!

Our local extreme couponer made it to New York City to be on “Anderson,” a nationally televised talk show.
Amanda Pittington takes couponing to the extreme.
That talent brought her from the Valley to New York City to be on Anderson Cooper's talk show.
Before the show, backstage, Pittington described her pre-show jitters.
"I'm very nervous at the moment, haha," said Amanda.
Before the show, Amanda got ready backstage with make-up artists and hair stylists.
But above all, she said she couldn't do it without the support of her husband.
"We're here as a team. I'm a little nervous, but that's expected, you know the spotlight. But it's worth it, it's a lifetime opportunity and we're really excited to be here," said Daniel Pittington, Amanda's husband.
The executive producer of “Anderson” said once they saw WHSV's story on Amanda, here, he had to bring her to New York, for the show.
"When she shows you around her house, you can't believe people actually live like this, but she has amazing tips,” said Executive Producer of “Anderson” Terence Noonan. “And I think everybody's looking for ways to save money. Everybody's looking for a trick and the more outrageous the better. We love it. We're so happy we were able to work with you guys and put her on 'Anderson.'"
The show began and our local extreme couponer got the spotlight. This time Anderson Cooper asked her the questions.
"Did you know you were going to take it, you know, to the extreme?" asked Cooper.
Amanda and her husband got to tell their story on national television. Even Cooper was impressed with Amanda's organization.
"The house is spotless! It's incredible."
"All the labels have to be facing the same way. I'm OCD about it," replied Amanda.
"Do you worry that you take it too far, or do you think it is something that's sustainable?" asked Anderson.
No matter what people think, it is that extreme skill that took Amanda from Grottoes to New York for a day she will never forget.
"It's definitely a change from our small town," said Amanda.
If you'd like to see Amanda on 'Anderson,' that show will air on Monday at 5 p.m. on My Valley.
