Anderson Cooper Rips On Countess LuAnn De Lesseps' New Song
The Hollywood Reporter has a story on a section of “Anderson Cooper 360″ in which Cooper talks about “The Real Housewives”‘ Countess LuAnn De Lesseps’ song, “Chic C’est La Vie” in his RidicuList section. “Despite the fact that she can’t really sing, she has just released a song, and I use the term ‘song’ loosely.”
In the video, located below this post, Cooper tears up the song and the woman behind it, making fun of her supposed royal heritage. “I’ve done some research and learned that she was actually the first wife of Count Chocula, until Frankenberry got in the way. Then she rebounded and ended up marrying the Count, although I can never remember if she was wife number two or number three” he said, to which a video of The Count from “Sesame Street” played. He then said she was next in line after the “creepy Burger King, long may he reign.”
Sarcastically, Cooper said of the song, “Grammy voters, take note,” and, because of the song’s title, “Somewhere Edith Piaf just took another big hit of morphine.”
He also says of the Countess always referring to having class, “As I’ve said before, if you talk about class and you’re not referring to a room where kids are taught, then you have none.” Ouch.
