Zero Tolerance

Emmanuel Jones to be featured on Anderson Cooper 360

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Anderson Cooper is globe-trotting CNN anchor and 60 Minutes correspondent. Thursday night, he is sitting down to talk with local senator, Emmanuel Jones.

Senator Jones is the sponsor of Senate Bill 299. It is more commonly known as the zero tolerance bill.

Legislation passed the general assembly unanimously on the last day of the session, making Georgia the first state to restrain zero tolerance policies within our schools.

The state's criminal code now includes a delinquent classification for first offenders.

Senator Jones's story with Anderson Cooper is set to air, Thursday night on CNN. Tune in after the news at 11:00 p.m. We're told it airs around 11:30 p.m. eastern.
