Kenny Chesney to talk about Tennessee flood with Anderson Cooper

Tune in to CNN tonight (Wednesday, May 5) as country megastar Kenny Chesney helps the national media get a sense of Tennessee's flood struggles.
The singer is set to talk with host Anderson Cooper, and to share some flood footage — Chesney's house, he shared via Twitter, is among the many homes in the area that are "under water." (Chesney tweeted the above photo.)
Cooper's official Twitter feed acknowleged today that Tennessee's flooding hasn't appeared front-of-mind in the national media.
"Been getting a lot of emails saying 'where is the media' in TN covering the flooding," he tweeted. "They are right. We haven't done enough on it."
He followed up: "We haven't done enough on TN flooding, your criticism is totally fair. should have come sooner."
Cooper's AC360° show airs at 10 p.m. Eastern (9 p.m. CST) on CNN.
Chesney isn't the only country star reaching out nationally or otherwise. Keith Urban spoke with CNN Tuesday, and Vince Gill and a host of others will take part in WSMV-TV Channel 4's "Working 4 You: Flood Relief with Vince Gill & Friends" telethon on Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. (All proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, and The Second Harvest Food Bank.)
