At what age is it considered too inappropriate to dress “sexy” and dance in a provocative manner? Shockingly, 7- year old girls in a World of Dance competition that took place back in April, took to the dance floor performing to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.” The group of girls were actually wearing less than what Beyonce wore in her music video!
Inappropriate dress attire on these little girls is quite disturbing, as they are dressed in skimpy lingerie outfits, dancing in such a way to allure men. And the worst part is they probably have no idea what their costumes and dance moves really mean in the adult world – they’re just out their having fun in a dance competition.
Dr. Phil talked to Anderson Cooper about his take on the young dancers and their attire. Dr. Phil said it’s like "Grand Central Station for pedophiles" on You Tube, and is very inappropriate.
Another concern for Dr. Phil is, out of the group of parents, why didn’t a bell go off in someone’s head to say this routine and costume is not appropriate. How did all the parents come to a decision to allow the dance?
Putting young girls on sexual display, dance or no dance competition, is beyond inappropriate, and Dr. Phil brought up a good point of, where does it end….age 10, 12, 15? What will happen as the girls get older?
