I was the next in line, Alan was behind me, he was next... Then Adam comes huffing and puffing with a grim face on him. "We are at full capacity now," he says, "I tried to get a few more seats but they tell me that we are at 100% capacity."
Have you ever been the next in line just to be turned away at that very moment? It's a first for me. Adam told the six or eight of us left behind that they have only 55 seats total. 55 SEATS!! I would think that for an event like this they would have at least a couple hundred seats for us. Oh well, at least Adam told us that if we want to come back the following Thursday we would be the first to be let in. Now, THAT'S A DEAL!! They took our names and e-mails and gave us a consolation gift, well two little consolation gifts: a khaki cap with the words "CNN Baghdad" on it and a cardboard Anderson bookmark, we got two of each, two items for Alan and two for me, although all four pieces are mine! I love them, I adore them, and when we go back next week, we'll get four more... Plus perfect seating.
We may not have made it for the first Live Taping of Anderson Cooper 360º, but we sure will be there for the second taping of the program. For now we came home even before the program started to be taped at 4:00 PM. I will have to wait until 10:00 PM to see how it went.
Sorry I couldn't tell you any news about the program itself. I really hope to have Live news in a week.
Thanks for waiting.
