Anderson Cooper is staying put in daytime. According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'Anderson' has been renewed for a second season.

'Anderson' will have a new home in New York. The one-hour talk show has been on WPIX 11 during its current freshman season, but it will move to WNYW, the local Fox affiliate. The show is distributed by Warner Bros.

"This is a terrific testament to these strong stations who, like us, see 'Anderson' as the next early-fringe syndication franchise," Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, said.

The show hasn't been a blockbuster hit in the ratings, but it has drawn decent numbers. It's second week had a 1.4 national rating, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"I am enjoying the daytime show tremendously," Cooper said, "and am looking forward to what lies ahead."

'Anderson' has shown a lighter side of the silver-haired newsman, like when went spray-tanning with Snooki. However, the show hasn't been without controversy. A teen who was booked to appear on 'Anderson' suffered a serious head injury while filming home video footage for the series, Gawker reported. Cooper's representatives denied involvement in causing the accident.

"Our producers were working with a teen and his parents on a show about the science of the Teenage Brain, based on a National Geographic story. As part of our routine process, we ask guests for video footage and photos. We did not provide the family with a camera. On the morning that they were supposed to travel to NYC, we learned that the teen had been injured. We are very concerned about him, and are thinking of him and his family at this time."

Cooper was also recently nominated for a People's Choice Award for Favorite Daytime TV Host.
