Anderson Cooper got into an extremely tense chat on his daytime show when he called out a guest on Tuesday.
The show focused on "revenge porn," whereby people post explicit photos of their exes online. Cooper hosted a guest named Angel, who submitted pictures of her two ex-friends to a porn website. She explained that the friends had "made some mistakes," and that they had already submitted the pictures to "many, many guys" anyway.
"What you're saying just does not make sense," Cooper argued. "You're saying just because somebody sent pictures to some guy who they're interested in, therefore the whole world should see it."
Angel replied, "They're obviously making a name for themselves." That answer did not sit well with Cooper. After the break, he asked Angel, "Why would anyone want to be friends with you if this is what you do to someone who used to be your friend?"
Angel said, "They were sleazy. They were very, very sleazy."
"How could they be any sleazier than you?" Cooper wanted to know. He then tried to pad his words, but burned his guest one more time. "I don't mean any disrespect," he said. "But this can't be the first time you've been called sleazy." As some in the crowd gasped, Angel made a surprised noise.
