Melissa McCarthy's High School Goth Phase
Monday, November 28, 2011
It is shocking to see the difference between the actual Melissa McCarthy and the tomboyish character she plays in the hit summer movie, "Bridesmaids." Melissa assumed one other shocking role in her life, only this one was back in high school and was an adolescent phase, rather than a film role. Melissa McCarthy was a goth.
Despite being on her high school's student council and cheerleading squad, she says she "took a turn" one summer and came back to school goth. She was voted by her high school as "most punk" and as the student who "changed the most in 4 years."
"I was super preppy and then by the end I was like, blue-black hair that I'd shave in patches," Melissa says. "I'd wear like, turtlenecks for pants."
