With tough economic times hitting all parts of the country, media organizations have been full of doom and gloom lately. But CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper lightened the mood during a visit to Elon University on Tuesday afternoon.
Cooper, also the host of "Anderson 360°," held a question and answer session with students earlier in the afternoon before taking questions from the media which was mostly comprised of Elon communications students.
Cooper talked about his popular Twitter account and his career as journalist which he has covered Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in Sri Lanka and the war in Iraq.
He also mentioned the North Carolina Tar Heels and their NCAA championship. When asked to give his take on President Obama's recent NCAA Tournament bracket picks, Cooper said he hadn't had a chance to look in too much detail. He also joked that he didn't want to criticize Obama's pick too much in fear that he'd be denied future interviews with the president.
Cooper was scheduled to speak in Alumni Gym at 4 p.m. For more details on his visit, including photos and video, check back later at TheTimesNews.com.
Did you read that last paragraph? I will be checking this site every half an hour to see what new pictures they post. Stay tuned.
