Anderson Cooper, Pariah, Black Enterprise among Glaad winners

Anderson Cooper, the film Pariah and Black Enterprise magazine were among the list of winners at Saturday's 23rd Annual GLAAD Awards.
Hosted by Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith, the GLAAD Media Awards were held at New York's Marriott Marquis Saturday night. Celebrating the best in television, film and written works, the GLAAD Media Awards handed out a number of awards with special guests and presenters including Wendy Williams, Kim Wayans, Jersey Shore star Vinny, Isis King, Russell Simmons and more.
Anderson Cooper won Outstanding TV Journalism for his special "The 'Sissy Boy' Experiments," which aired on AC360 last year (CNN).
In film, Pariah (Focus Features) won Outstanding Film - Limited Release. Actrees Kim Wayans was on hand to accept the award.
On the journalism/publishing end, The Advocate/Out won Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage while articles written for Metro Weekly and Black Enterprise shared the award for Outstanding Magazine Article. The latter, published in Black Enterprise, was titled 'Black & Gay in Corporate America.'
The New York Times, Frank Bruni, Cinema Verite and Katy Butler were also recognized.
Two additional presentations of GLAAD Media Awards are slated for Los Angeles and San Francisco later this year.
