On the show, Anderson was introduced to one of his distant paternal cousins for the first time. Now, he reflects on meeting a family member, thanks to the help of Ancestry.com.

"I had no idea who it was, actually," Anderson says of several people put before him. "She sort of didn't really say much. She was the quietest of all of them, and a lot of my relatives like to talk, so it never occurred to me it was her."
