Anderson says he isn't going to adopt a Haitian baby.
Silver-haired Anderson Cooper has been on a special untouchable list: he's privileged, he's talented, and he (allegedly) has a hunky boyfriend. When the National Enquirer broke news that he and Ben Maisani were going to adopt a Haitian baby, we half believed it. After all, Anderson Cooper has spent plenty of time in Haiti reporting on the conditions there, and he even went above and beyond for an injured Haitian boy.
Previously, it was said that the "death and destruction in Haiti" changed Anderson Cooper's priorities, and made him think about starting a family.
"Ben has been the best thing that's ever happened to Anderson. They both feel they're ready for a baby," the source told the Enquirer. The two were reportedly making arrangements to adopt one of the country's orphans, but now Anderson has spoken out about the rumors.
Cooper gave an exclusive statement to one gossip blog, saying:
"While the plight of children in Haiti has touched us all, and I continue to cover the situation there closely, stories about me adopting a baby are false. I am not adopting a child, Haitian or otherwise."
I'm not going to lie: I'm a little disappointed, only because adopting a Haitian baby would make Anderson Cooper even hotter. Also, the kid would get to live in a remodeled firehouse. Yes, please.
