Dustin Lance Black Takes on Obama on Anderson Cooper

Attorney and former Clinton adviser Richard Socarides and Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black appeared on Anderson Cooper's 360 to discuss the new same-sex benefits that were recently signed into existence by President Obama.
The Academy Award winning screenwriter said, “our federal government cannot send message… [to LGBT youth] that they are still second class…” citing that LGBT youths are still four times more likely to attempt suicide.
Though Socarides allowed that the President and his advisors are for basic equality, he believes there is a disconnect in the follow through of his campaign promises.
DLB urged all LGBT allies and activists to march on October 11th in our Nation’s capitol to hold the President to his promises.
