All eyes were on Jennifer Aniston on Friday night as she was honored with the Crystal Award for expanding the role of women in the entertainment industry at the Women in Film 2009 awards in Los Angeles.
"It's funny -- I kind of noticed a few years ago, there seems to be a strange parallel between the movies I'm doing and my life offscreen," Aniston joked to the audience, according to People.
"It started with 'The Good Girl,' then of course 'Rumor Has It,' followed by 'Derailed.' Then there was 'The Break Up.'
"If any of you have a project titled 'Everlasting Love with a Stable Adult Male,' I'm at table six and my agents are at table 12!"
Holly Hunter (TNT's "Saving Grace"), Elizabeth Banks ("The Uninvited"), cinematographer Petra Korner and "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke also received recognition.
The Pitt fam keeps giving
"Inglourious Basterds" star Brad Pitt's brother, Doug, has announced a $1-million family donation to establish an endowment fund for cancer specialists at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo., the Springfield News-Leader reported.
According to the News-Leader, the St. John's Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center -- named after the Pitts' mother -- will open this summer.
And, just in case all this Aniston and Pitt talk has you yearning for Angelina Jolie, tune in to CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" on Thursday -- World Refugee Day -- as the United Nations' goodwill ambassador Jolie is to appear, according to "Access Hollywood."
