An Insult To President Obama

President Obama said (paraphrased): "The Supreme Court should uphold this law," meaning, the recently Health Care law passed by Congress and signed by the President. The President expressed his opinion, he did not say that the Supreme Court should do as he said or else! In his opinion, "The Supreme Court should uphold this law." The republicans are playing, as they often do, the victim and did something never done before, they asked the President to write an apology.

I have no idea why the President agreed to write such a statement and had his Attorney General, Eric Holder, submit a three page description of President Obama's words stated as other than a mandate. Unbelievable!

Why did the President agree to such a derogatory response? He should have stood his ground and keep the republicans crying "wolf!" as they always do.
