'Anderson' Celebrates 100 Episodes With Ratings Surge

NEW YORK, March 6, 2012 -- “Anderson,” the nationally syndicated TV talk show featuring CNN and “60 Minutes” correspondent Anderson Cooper as host, celebrated its 100 episode milestone with a ratings surge.
“Anderson,” distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, has shot up 27 percent in household rating since its September premiere, according to ratings released today by Nielsen Media Research. For the week ending February 26, 2012 “Anderson,” which premiered September 12, 2011, has soared to a 1.4 according to Nielsen. “Anderson” has been the number one rated first run freshman show in syndication in an unbroken, 24-week stretch since its premiere. According to the most recent Nielsen data, it leads its closest rookie first-run competitor by a margin of two-to-one.
Significantly, the week in which the 100th “Anderson” episode was broadcast included guests Janet Jackson and Courtney Cox. In addition, the show’s website featured exclusive video congratulations from entertainment luminaries such as actresses Katherine Heigl and Dolly Parton. The 100th episode of “Anderson” was seen on February 20.
