ATLANTA, April 10 (UPI) -- CNN reporter and anchor Anderson Cooper might be ready to join the ranks of talk show hosts.
The Hollywood Reporter says CNN is bring in an audience for two prime time talk specials hosted by Cooper April 15 and 22.
It would not be the first time news networks have included studio audiences on predominately news shows. The Reporter says ABC's "Primetime Live," had an in-studio audience when it premiered in 1989, and CBS's "The Morning Program" had a live studio audience in 1987.
CNN, which had an audience for "Talkback Live" in the 90s, is calling the Anderson Cooper experiment a "special" and has not announced a date for broadcast of the prime time shows.
Don't forget that the dates have been changed to April 22 and 29 and May 6 was added.
