And one that for all the gods in me I can't figured out why it persists without SOMEBODY going to jail. Had these molestations been done by a gay teacher he would have been given twenty lashes, a partial castration, and life in prison among the toughest tugs in the area who would pass the teacher around as their most valued babe. But a priest!!! For some reason he deserves pardon, freedom and the ability to continue his perversions in the same or another parish. Go figure.
The statement the current pope made yesterday says a lot about where they stand on this issue, I paraphrase: "Now that the world is against us, we need to face our problems and repent." WHAT!! "Now that the world is against us...!!!" Did it have to come to this before the pope would make at least a minor attempt to correct this years-old tradition among the priesthood? Shameful!
