You can make up your own story and if you care to share it, you'll be very welcome to post a comment with your story here and I put it in a new post with your name on it.
My side of the story (soon to be a major motion picture):
(by the way, the picture will star George Clooney as Anderson Cooper and Nathan Fillion as Ryan Reynolds. Ryan was contacted to play himself in the movie but he declined to play the role, he said it was too soon to play that part comfortably.)
Ryan Reynolds met Anderson at the after Oscar party from Vanity Fair on the night of February 22, 2009. They got along really well; people at the party noticed both of them talking all night long, laughing and really having a good time. They seldom spoke to anybody else at the party. After that there are rumors that some people saw them leaving together -- rumors that nobody has been able to prove or disprove, so they remain just that: rumors.
What is not a rumor is the fact that they were seen together several times at Anderson's house in Fire Island throughout this year's summer. And Ryan, whose address is in California, was seen coming and going from the Chelsea hotel in the Chelsea area of New York, not too far from Anderson’s own apartment.
So, the plot is thick with anything but plot twists; everything pretty much is taken as predictable and true -- a true love story, perhaps? At least for now. This summer in New York the weather was more appropriated for indoors than outdoors -- lots of rain, especially during the weekends. So, our love birds, or so the rumor goes, spent most of their time together indoors, at either Ryan's room at the hotel or in Anderson's home in Chelsea or at Fire Island. The gay bars in the neighborhood were a buzz with sights, or pseudo-sights, of Ryan and Anderson here and there, coming and going, entering or exiting this or that building... But so far the only thing that can be proved without the benefit of a doubt is Anderson's exquisite ability to become invisible.
Then, if the rumors are to be believed, at one point, towards the end of the summer, or so a friend of Anderson's is saying -- actually, he now is an ex-friend of Anderson's, and that is very true; this friend told a friend of a friend of a friend -- and with friends like these... so the saying goes -- this friend gave the picture seen here to a gossip columnist, not me, mind you, I'm a blogger. The picture itself has its own story.
According to this friend, well, ex-friend, at one point Anderson realized he was getting much too involved with Ryan, and he took five days off from dating to spend some time with himself and think about what his next move should be. Predictably enough, Anderson saw himself too close to the altar and called the relationship off. Needless to say, Ryan was devastated. And for the next few days, oddly enough, he was kept company by a friend of Anderson’s, a real friend this time, a friend who felt bad for Ryan and decided to spend some time with another heart broken soul on account of Anderson.
It’s been said that this friend whom some people call Mark and others Peter, is a very good friend of Anderson, and he follows Anderson especially when he has been dating anyone for a period of time. Mark, or Peter, knows the story very well, and he is always there to pick up the pieces of the poor soul left behind by Anderson’s unable to commit personality. Anderson knows this about Peter/Mark and is very grateful that he is there to help those who made the mistake to come too close to him. Not that Anderson is a pretty bastard himself, but that he can’t help it if some people, many people, find him attractive and comfortable to be with and unwillingly fall in love with him. Anderson himself wishes he had a soul mate but, the rumor continues, he cannot allow himself to connect with anybody. Some people say he is too busy with his job and a relationship would not be the best thing for either of the people involved; and others say that Anderson is unable to commit or he might loose his job. Either his job suffers because of his relationships or his relationships suffer because of his job. Either way he seems to be trapped in a vicious circle where love is not allowed.
Five days after Anderson ended his relationship with Ryan, he felt so bad for him that he decided to go visit him one more time at Ryan’s hotel. He found Mark/Peter in Ryan’s room, he apologized and made his stay short. Anderson kept repeating that he was sorry and left barely five minutes after he had arrived. To this point nobody knows why Anderson went back to Ryan’s hotel; did all he wanted to do was to make sure Ryan was okay? did he need to apologize and get Ryan’s forgiveness? was he coming back because he was really in love with Ryan? Anybody’s guess is as much a rumor as the next guy’s conclusion.
After Anderson left, Ryan was inconsolable, he felt really hurt by Anderson and said he was leaving New York as soon as possible. He asked Peter/Mark to take his picture with Anderson’s CNN poster on the background, sort of a last memory to keep while away from his beloved. Mark/Peter took the picture and left it at that. About two weeks later Mark/Peter received a large envelope in the mail. He opened it and saw the picture he had taken of Ryan in the hotel room. But, Oh, was he surprised when he actually paid attention to the whole scene. Unbeknownst to them Anderson made it into the picture too. At the moment it was taken, Anderson was peeking through one of the room’s windows, and now Ryan’s last memory of Anderson includes Anderson in person too, besides the poster on the wall.
THE END
